Photo Gallery

On this page you can find a collection of images of decaying spaces in Paisley. The first collection of images is of spaces that the council has recognised and branded as 'derelict' or 'vacant'. The second collection are images that community members and myself have taken while walking around Paisley.

Council Spaces

These spaces were taken from data obtained in the Derelict and Vacant Land Strategy (2022).

The photos included in this section are all of spaces within a ±30min radius from Paisley city centre.

Street names have been added to clarify their location.

Newly Discovered Spaces

These photos were taken by community members that participated in this research through the Hidden Spaces in Paisley workshop, and interviews as part of this research.

The spaces included in this section are scattered around Paisley and have no set appearance.

Community members were asked to capture images of what they would considered 'unused' or 'abandoned' spaces.
